- NAHASDA Reauthorized by U.S. House of RepresentativesThe U.S. House of Representatives today passed H.R. 4329, the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Reauthorization Act of 2014 (NAHASDA), which was amended to include language introduced by U.S. Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa that would provide for key funding of the Native Hawaiian Housing Block Grant and Loan Guarantees.
- Kapolei Mall Project Moves ForwardDeBartolo Development announced today that it has formally begun its lease of a 67-acre site in Kapolei from the State Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) for Ka Makana Alii, the 1.4 million-square-foot regional mall being built in West Oahu. Work will begin immediately to prepare the site for construction of phase one of the $500 million project.
