The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands has conveyed the sewer lines in Kaupuni Village, Oʻahu to the City & County of Honolulu in the first of what will be several sewer line transfers stemming from the implementation of Act 227, 2014.

Receipt of the licenses mean the Department now has permission to utilize a portion of the 2.5 GHz band to deliver wireless broadband to rural homestead communities on Kauai and in Maui County.
