Lot Offers and Awards

OVERVIEW

The department offers a variety of products to applicants based on their original waiting list application date. These offerings differ depending on the applicant’s position on the list, whether it’s residential, agricultural, or pastoral. Families receiving a residential offer must re-qualify for the price of the home. There is also a vacant lot product available for those who wish to build a custom home on the land, with the cost of the home varying based on the family’s needs.

When an offer letter is sent, applicants are required to submit an interest form and often a financial pre-qualification that matches or exceeds the cost of the offered home. Once these requirements are met, the applicant is invited to a lot selection meeting.

Pu’uhona Subdivision Residential – Phase 2

Ninety-one residential homes in the Puʻuhona Subdivision in Waikapū, Hawaiʻi.

This offering is available to Waiohuli Undivided Interest (UI) Lessees and applicants on the Maui Island Wide Residential Waiting List. Applicants on the waitlist with application dates up to 12/31/2023 are eligible for this opportunity.

If you are interested in this opportunity, you must complete and submit the Response Form and a Prequalification Letter, postmarked by March 7, 2025.

Makuʻu & Honomū Agricultural

Awarded – November 23, 2024

Thirty-two (32) Subsistence Agricultural Lots in Makuʻu. Twenty (20) Agricultural Lots in Makuʻu. Sixteen (16) Subsistence Agricultural Lots in Honomū. The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is notifying beneficiaries on the Relocation and Hawaii Island wide Agricultural Wait List, with application dates up to June 30, 1986.

Pu’uhona Subdivision Residential – Phase 1

Awarded – June 15, 2024 (Phase 2 Offering Pending 2025)

52 residential homes in the Pu’uhona Subdivision in Waikapū, Hawaiʻi. This offering is available to Maui Undivided Interest (UI) Lessees and applicants on the Maui Island Wide Residential Waiting List. Undivided Interest Lessees will have a priority at lot selection since they currently have leases to a lot on Maui. Applicants on the waitlist invited for this offer have application dates up to June 30, 2006.

La’i Opua Village 4-Akau Rent
