DHHL currently owns a 37-acre parcel located at ‘Upolu in Kohala, Hawai‘i. This parcel includes lands between ‘Umiwai and Holana Bays along the northern tip of Hawai‘i Island. These lands were transferred to DHHL from the federal government in 2000. The site contains remnant structures from former Naval operations. The Old Coast Guard Road provides access to the property connecting it to Akoni Pule Highway.

Please join DHHL staff and leadership for Ho‘ola for a beneficiary consultation to discuss this land use request for a 37-acre parcel at ‘Upolu. Ho‘ola is a Hawaiian Homestead beneficiary organization, managed and controlled by Hawaiian Homestead beneficiaries who reside along the Kohala Coast from Hāpuna Beach to Pololū Valley on Hawai‘i Island. The purpose of this beneficiary consultation is to share information about Ho‘ola’s land use request and to gather beneficiary mana‘o on the proposed land use.
