‘Āina Mauna Land Use Requests

Overview

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is hosting an opportunity for beneficiary comments on two Land Use Request Application proposals received from beneficiary organizations for lands in the ‘Āina Mauna.

Two meetings will be hosted by DHHL.

Applicants will give a presentation on their proposed uses and will be available for questions and to hear beneficiary comments.

Meeting Details

MEETING #1:

Waimea, Hawaii

  • When: Tuesday, March 31, 2026
  • Time: 6 p.m.
  • Location: Kūhiō Hall, 64-756 Mamalahoa Hwy, Waimea, HI 96743

MEETING #2:

Hilo, Hawaii

  • When: Thursday, April 2, 2026
  • Time: 6 p.m.
  • Location: Keaukaha Elementary School Cafeteria, 240 Desha Ave, Hilo, HI 96720

Beneficiaries are encouraged to attend ONE (1) of the two meetings above. A 30-day comment period will follow the meetings. Beneficiaries are encouraged to provide comments before the close of the comment period.
