PU‘UKAPU – TELECOM UPGRADE WORK
Please be advised that Hawaiian Telcom will be performing work to expand its telecommunications network in the Pu‘ukapu Homesteads on Hawai‘i Island. The work is scheduled to begin on June 27 and is expected to continue through September 30, 2025. Work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
Hawaiian Telcom crews will be operating Telsta bucket trucks, with approximately six employees on site. Workers will wear Hawaiian Telcom uniforms, and company vehicles will be clearly marked with the Hawaiian Telcom logo.
Motorists are advised to observe and obey all traffic controls and posted signs, and to proceed with caution through the work area. PLEASE OBSERVE THE DATES AND TIMES ON THE POSTED ROADWAY SIGNS. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed, if necessary, at the owner’s expense. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction area.
