DHHL Nānākuli Sewer System Improvements, Waiʻanae, Island of O‘ahu

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is upgrading the underground sanitary sewer system in Nānākuli for compliance with the City and County of Honolulu (C&CH) requirements and with the goal to provide a higher level of wastewater service to the homestead residents.  As a result, fieldwork is required to gather the information for the engineering design and is determined to be essential by DHHL and other government agencies.

Control Point Survey Hawaii and Geolabs Hawaii will be performing field surveys and investigations within the dash lined area shown in the location map below, Monday through Friday, typically from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., occasionally on weekends.  Fieldwork is estimated to start on April 15, 2024, and will continue intermittently through and be completed by the end of April 2025. This work will be done within the public roadways as well as the properties with easements. Minor and temporary traffic control during fieldwork hours will be required. DHHL requests and highly appreciates the cooperation from homestead residents to accommodate the work in this area and to allow safe and unobstructed access to the public roadways, easements, and underground utilities so that the work may be conducted as safely as possible.
