Hawaiʻi Energy Partnership Offers Energy Savings to DHHL Beneficiaries
(Kapolei, Oʻahu) – The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) and Hawaiʻi Energy have partnered to bring energy savings to DHHL lessees and applicants on the Waiting List.
Hawaiʻi Energy, the energy conservation and efficiency program for Hawai‘i, Honolulu, and Maui counties, is offering DHHL beneficiaries a $5 Home Energy Efficiency Kit that includes four LED (60W-replacement A19) bulbs, a TrickleStar power switch, and faucet aerators for kitchen and bathrooms. The products, valued at $40, are designed to provide consumers with an easy tool to help eliminate home energy and water waste and save recipients up to $300 annually.
“We recognize that as we face the COVID-19 crisis, many beneficiary families will be looking for ways to save money,” said DHHL Deputy Tyler Gomes. “Working with Hawaiʻi Energy to bring this opportunity to not only our homesteaders but to families on the Waiting List is directly in line with our mission to partner with others towards developing self-sufficient and healthy communities.”
“Hawai‘i Energy is excited to partner with DHHL on this special energy kit promotion,” said Hawai‘i Energy Executive Director Brian Kealoha. “We understand how important it is to be saving money, especially now. The tools included in the kits are simple ways for residents to take charge of their energy usage and reduce costs.”
