In the end all but one vacant lot was selected.
“Prince Kuhio Kalaniana’ole’s vision of returning native Hawaiians to their ancestral lands was realized today for the 28 families who received residential homestead lots,” Hawaiian Homes Commission Chairman Alapaki Nahale-a said. “We anticipate that most of these families will be celebrating the holidays in their new homes next year.”
The turnkey homes will be constructed by Armstrong Builders and they range in price from $201,650 for a two-bedroom, one-bath home to $377,100 for an eight-bedroom, three-bath home. The lot sizes range from 7,055 square feet to about one-acre.
