DHHL IS AUTHORIZED BY THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT, 1920, as amended (HHCA) to provide loan funds to native Hawaiian beneficiaries and issue loan guarantees through Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) for loans made by alternative lending sources for the replacement, construction, and repair of homes. In accordance with the HHCA, all loans on Hawaiian Home Lands must be guaranteed.
