Department of Hawaiian Home Lands

(Waianae, Oahu) – The Department of Hawaiian Homelands (DHHL), through its contractor, Grace Pacific LLC, will be installing new traffic calming measures in the Princess Kahanu Estates (PKE) Subdivision. The four (4) proposed speed humps will be installed along Laiku St between Princess Kahanu Ave & Laiku Pl AND along Waiolu St between Pualeilani St & Waiolu Pl.

Work is scheduled to begin in late June 2025, with an anticipated completion date of August 2025, weather permitting.

Area residents should expect to see “no parking” signs in advance of proposed work, heavy work equipment along the roadway, experience construction noise, and encounter possible traffic delays during the construction period. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
