Malu’ōhai resident, Junior Atisanoe of Hope Chapel Second City accepts a donation of toys by Department of Hawaiian Home Lands employees from Deputy Director Darrell Young for their Angel Tree helping families in need celebrate Christmas. The toys were donated by DHHL employees who wished to share their Blessings this holiday season. Hope Chapel Second City is lead by Pastor Guy Kapeliela, a resident of Kaupeʻa in the Villages of Kapolei. They meet weekly at UH West Oahu and have a large contingent of homestead residents in their congregation.
“Our employees wanted to brighten the Christmas season for some families that are less fortunate,” stated Deputy Director Young. “Partnering with Hope Chapel Second City allows us to directly benefit our homestead families.”
