Christmas came early for 28 families who were offered homesteads on Maui this morning by the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands.

The Hawaiian Homes Commission gave approval this week to the determination of Finding of No Significant Impact (known as FONSI) for the Final Environmental Assessment for the Ka Makana Ali'i Conceptual Master Plan.
